Manchester United football club is finally back in a much more positive light.

The Red Devils endured a torrid period in March, crashing out of the Champions League to Sevilla and turning in a number of woeful, uninspiring performances.

Questions were being aimed at Jose Mourinho's abilities as manager, but on Saturday, United enjoyed their finest moment of 2017/18.

Their 3-2 win away at Manchester City not only stopped their bitter rivals winning the title on their own patch, but it also reminded the rest of the world of how good they can be.

Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez enjoyed their finest moments in the famous red shirt, with the former amazingly scoring twice at the Etihad.

Everything seems to be back on track for United, but there is rarely a time that all things are going swimmingly at one of the biggest clubs in the world.

And it turns out the Manchester derby win could have unearthed something seriously negative about Marcus Rashford.

According to the Mirror, a United source has revealed that the English forward is now considering his future at the club after playing just eight minutes.

The source said: “Marcus was really unhappy with being left out for the derby.

“If Mourinho is still there next season, Marcus might not be, as he wants to start every game.”

Not good.

The arrival of Alexis Sanchez in January has increased competition, with the Chilean, Rashford and Anthony Martial all competing for the starting berth on the left-hand side of Mourinho's attack.

Rashford's only other chance would be if Romelu Lukaku were to pick up an injury, with the Englishman the only other option in the central striking role after Zlatan Ibrahimovic's move to LA Galaxy.

However, his desire to start every game looks less and less likely with each passing week.

Rashford may have scored a match-winning brace against Liverpool back in March, but it is clear that with all personnel fit, Mourinho would opt for a starting XI without him.

Maybe it would be wise for the Englishman to seek a new challenge.
