The boxing world is eagerly awaiting the announcement for Anthony Joshua's next fight.

Most were left feeling pretty underwhelmed after his rather dull bout vs Joseph Parker at Cardiff, with Joshua winning by unanimous decision.

The usual fireworks most associate with the Brit's fights were nowhere to be seen, however, it was the first time Joshua displayed his scientific skills and fitness to last 12 rounds.

But who will boxing's biggest name face next?

Well, in the aftermath of the Parker bout, a number of names have been linked with Joshua's 22nd professional bout.

Dillian Whyte, Alexander Povetkin, Kubrat Pulev, Jarrell Miller and even Tyson Fury have all been mentioned.

But there's only one name boxing fans want to see next to Joshua's on a card; Deontay Wilder.

Joshua and the Bronze Bomber are seen as the two best in the heavyweight division, with a potential fight being the first unification bout since 2000.

And now, it looks like the dream may finally be coming to fruition, with Joshua stating that he and his team are in the process of making a hugely exciting offer to the American brawler.

He said: "I want that fight, no doubt about it. He was very vocal about wanting the fight before I was, because my objective was to accumulate every single one of the belts.

"Now I have done that, Wilder's my 100 per cent attention. We're about to make another offer to Wilder's team - a very good offer that should create a lot of interest from Wilder.

"Hopefully that will stop a lot of his talking and whining, and he can step up to the plate.

"I don't know about Wilder and how serious he is. If Wilder offered me the deal I'm going to offer him - to come and fight for four belts, with a great rematch clause and a great up-front clause - I would grab that with both hands.

"I would be over the moon with a deal like that, so it will be interesting to see how he takes it."

If Wilder really was serious all those times he called out Joshua, he'll be accepting straight away.

And if the fight is handed Wembley stadium as a location, we could be nearing one of the biggest night's in the history of the sport.
