Huddersfield have rubbished reports that they have made a move for Sunderland's Roy O'Donovan.
The 24-year-old Irishman, out-of-contract at the Stadium of Light this summer, spent a successful loan spell at Hartlepool last season when he netted nine goals in 15 league appearances. Pools have already expressed their desire to secure O'Donovan's services on a permanent basis, while recent speculation has linked the forward with a switch to Carlisle and also claimed that the Terriers had made an approach for the player.
But Town chief executive Nigel Clibbens has said the club had done no such thing. He told the Huddersfield Examiner: "That's not the case. We've had no contact either with the player or his club."
