Argentine defender Guillermo Burdisso says he is being chased by Manchester United or Manchester City.
The Rosario Central centre back has been in impressive form for Los Canallas in the Argentine 1st Division, and Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson could be taking an interest as he looks for a possible Nemanja Vidic replacement.
"I have been told that in the next days an offer from Manchester is going to arrive at the club," the 22-year-old is quoted as saying in the Daily Mirror.
"When that happens the manager, Vicente Cunado, is going to tell me if it's from Manchester City or Manchester United."
"According to what is being said by the press of Rosario, it seems to be that what has been offered is what Rosario Central expects for my transfer."
Citizens boss Roberto Mancini is believed to be in the market for a defender this summer, with budget no issue for the blue half of Manchester.
Whilst the Red Devils are far less wealthy, Ferguson has been promised transfer funds should he wish to spend them. He could expect competition from Serie 'A' side though, with the Italian side also thought to be keen on the youngster.
