While Liverpool fans still have plenty to look forward ahead of the summer, the grass looks even greener next season.Kopites are riding the crest of a wave after thrashing Premier League table-toppers Manchester City 5-1 across two legs in the Champions League. Marry that to a brilliant run of form in the league and supporters believe whatever they achieve this season will be magnified in the 2018-19 campaign.Besides, let us not forget a certain Naby Keita.Fans have believed for sometime now that the RB Leipzig midfielder, provisionally signed for £60 million over the summer, could be the final piece in the puzzle at Anfield.Adding the thoroughly talented Keita to their ranks would give them the extra steel in midfield to potentially challenge City and United for that evasive Premier League crown.

Keita's last Europa League game

All that considered, it's no surprise Liverpool fans have monitored Keita so closely this season.

The Guinea international thoroughly disappointed during the opening months of the term, but is now several weeks deep into a purple patch. It was more than apparent on Thursday night, too.

Keita has been showcased widely in the Europa League this season and Thursday's trip to Marseille marked his last appearance in the competition for Leipzig.

Losing 5-2 at the Stade Velodrome ensured the German side reached the end of the line in the competition.

However, Keita still left a parting gift for Kopites tuning in for the Europa League action and it might be one of his finest moments of the season.

Keita's filthy assist v Marseille

With the score at 3-1, the 23-year-old bombed forward from the left flank, muscled his way past two Marseille defenders and laid it to Jean-Kevin Augstin with a deft back heel.

It was pure brilliance - take a look at the video below:

Take a bow, son.

Unsurprisingly, the assist sparked a huge reaction from Liverpool fans on Twitter. For many, it confirmed to them that they had a special player on their hands and to others, it just served to legitimise their optimism.

Liverpool fans blown away

If Keita can produce moments like that in the Premier League, then Liverpool have pulled off a sensational signing.

There's every reason to suggest that Liverpool will go far with such a positive and devastating midfielder such as Keita behind Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

All that aside, however, he looks a true Jurgen Klopp player and a force to be reckoned with.
