Manchester City need just five more points to become champions - but they will always have to live with throwing the league away against United. It's been a week since Pep Guardiola's side squandered a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 at the Etihad, a Paul Pogba brace and a fine finish from Chris Smalling securing the turnaround. The only pity, as far as Jose Mourinho will be concerned, is that his players haven't run their rivals this close all season.Yet, despite the fact that they have merely delayed the inevitable, that didn't stop the Red Devils celebrating raucously in the dressing room, per the Sun.As is only right given his monumental second-half performance, Pogba was at the very heart of the party. The Frenchman led his team-mates over to the away fans at full-time, with Ashley Young and a number of others throwing their shirts into the crowd. The only player whose celebrations may have been a little more muted was Romelu Lukaku, though he still slapped the badge on his chest a few times and clapped the United fans.Admittedly, the striker had never really found himself in the game, but that wasn't the reason he was subdued.According to Adam Marshall, a member of the club's media team, the Belgian was actually being sick in the dressing room toilets and therefore couldn't join in with United's merrymaking.

That would definitely explain why he underperformed though to be fair, there weren't many of Mourinho's men who did themselves justice in the opening 45 minutes.

His old problems with his first touch reared their head again, denying him a very good opportunity through on goal, while his passing was way too heavy.

Fair play to him for putting a shift in, nonetheless.

Fortunately, Lukaku has now recovered in time to be ready for the West Brom game on Sunday.

Thanks to last weekend's result, City still can't win the title even if they beat Tottenham at Wembley this evening.

'Putting the pressure on' might be a tired cliche but United will still want to ensure they make it as difficult for Guardiola as possible with victory at the Hawthorns.

What have you made of Lukaku's first season at United? Have your say in the comments.
