Heavyweight boxing has been given a much-needed shot in the arm recently as it continues to build excitement in the post-Klitschko era.The recent unification fight between Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker may not have quite lived up to the lofty expectations of most, but the buildup and fallout of the event certainly have. And for the first time in a very, very long time, the elite level of heavyweight boxing is building itself in the UK.There is, of course, Joshua himself - the Olympic gold medallist who now holds all but one of the major heavyweight titles and is the undoubted face of the division.Tyson Fury, the former champion, has just officially announced his comeback and to say that he's made no secret of his desire to get his belts back would be an understatement; Fury is as loud as ever and firmly on the warpath. One other man who has his sights set on the top of the division is Dillian Whyte who appears desperate to get the fight with WBC champion Deontay Wilder before Joshua does.Joshua will fight the WBC champion eventually - probably soon - so Whyte's desire to be that champion is easy to understand and he moved into contention with three victories in the last eight months.Whyte has opted for the traditional way of getting a fight, too: winding up your target until he wants to punch you in the face. The most recent effort to accomplish that being a tweet from Whyte showing off Wilder's 'acting' abilities.Check it out below:

Yeah, he's probably better off boxing.

Wilder allegedly opted against a $5m offer to fight Whyte in order to take half that for his fight with Luis Ortiz in March.

The thinking behind that was to increase his stock by as much as possible against a top contender before negotiating with the winner of Joshua v Parker.

It now looks like Joshua will face Wilder, with speculation of huge offers being made on both sides.

Whyte may have to wait a little longer if he wants that shot at a title - and by the time his opportunity comes, he may find a rematch with Joshua, the sole man to defeat him, is the only way to do it.
