Liverpool may have been drawn against Roma in the semi-finals of the Champions League but Jurgen Klopp isn’t starting to even think about that just yet.First, Liverpool have to make sure they’re playing in that competition once again next season. The easiest way of doing that is by cementing their place in the Premier League’s top-four.So when Bournemouth arrived at Anfield, the German manager wasn’t prepared to take any chances. He made just one change from Liverpool’s 2-1 second-leg victory at the Etihad on Tuesday, with captain Jordan Henderson coming in for James Milner.Henderson was suspended for the trip to City and, therefore, it was a no-brainer to bring him straight back into the side for Milner’s 32-year-old legs. While Henderson does have his critics, the midfielder was pulling strings against Eddie Howe’s side.

JORDAN HENDERSON WAS CLASS

The former Sunderland man is often criticised by constantly passing the ball backwards or sideways but he often started attacks for Liverpool and completely bossed the midfield.

And even though he’s often slammed on social media during matches, Liverpool fans couldn’t help but sing his praises.

Henderson played a big part in the opening goal after just seven minutes as well. It was his cross that found Sadio Mane’s head.

Mane’s header was saved by Asmir Begovic but the Senegalese star couldn’t miss with the rebound.

And that set the tone for the rest of the match as far as Henderson was concerned.

He continued to play probing passes and produced one of his finest performance in a Liverpool shirt this season.

Ahead of the game, Klopp insisted that Henderson didn’t have to win back his place in the starting XI due to the form he showed before his Champions League ban.

“Jordan played outstandingly good in the last few games and now I tell him because he was not involved in the City game because of a second yellow ‘now you have to fight back, my friend’. No, not a shadow of a doubt about attitude," Klopp said.

“He is already hot, he has the freshest legs in the midfield so I would be silly if I did not use him.”

Henderson did look as though he had the "freshest legs in midfield" and was brilliant.

With Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Gini Wijnaldum, Milner and Henderson all wanting a starting berth in midfield, Klopp has some tough decision to make before the Champions League semi-final.
