In Game 1 against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday, the Golden State Warriors answered a few pressing questions. How could they regain their dominant offensive play without Steph Curry?Would they be able to get back on the right path after finishing the regular season on a sour note? How would the team be able to slow down LaMarcus Aldridge, who finished the regular season on an absolute tear and posed a matchup issue due to his size and incredible offensive skill set?Golden State took down San Antonio 113-92 in front of their home fans and their offense still clicked without Curry. They dished out 32 assists compared to just 19 by the Spurs. They looked like a well-oiled machine. And they held Aldridge to 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting along with two rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block in 24 minutes due to the blowout.

After the game, Draymond Green explained that although the team’s doubters brought up some concerns, deep down, the defending champions know exactly how talented they are.

"We're a championship ball club," Green told reporters after the victory, per ESPN’s Chris Haynes. "We know what it takes this time of year in order to win. You know, we want to get back to that, regardless of what everyone is saying. 'The Warriors have lost it. They are not together. They can't win without Steph [Curry]. They are not the same team. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.’"

Green had 12 points, eight rebounds and 11 assists in 34 minutes of the win. The obvious benefit of having four All-Stars on one roster is that if one misses time with an injury, the other three can pick up the slack.

"We know what we're capable of," Green explained. "You know, there has been games that we've won without Steph -- a series. Same as Kevin, myself. We've won games without myself. We've won games without Klay. We've won games without our head coach. So we're primed for this. I think a lot of people tend to forget what we're capable of. We know. We're going to show that.”

Game 2 will take place on Monday. It remains to be seen whether or not they’ll continue their winning ways, but based on Game 1 and recent history, there’s no reason to doubt it.
