The Chinese Grand Prix was a race of mixed fortunes for Red Bull Racing. On one hand, Daniel Ricciardo staged a spectacular charge from sixth place to first in the space of 10 laps to take the prize, fending off Valtteri Bottas to the line.On the other, Ricciardo's teammate Max Verstappen was involved in a collision with championship leader Sebastian Vettel that left both drivers out of the running.Verstappen had changed onto fresh soft tyres before attempting to overtake Vettel's Ferrari for third place at the hairpin on lap 43 but locked up, ramming into the German's car.Verstappen was handed a 10-second penalty for the incident and finished fifth overall, being demoted behind Lewis Hamilton, who he had overtaken again following the crash.Vettel dropped down to sixth after being spun round during the incident and finished the race in eighth having been overtaken by Nico Hulkenberg and Fernando Alonso late on.Vettel was himself in a reflective mood, talking to Sky F1 about the incident, he said: "He's not young anymore. But this can happen when you have done 300 races. Inside the car, judgements are very difficult to make."But you have to ultimately have these things in mind and make sure you don't crash. We were both lucky."

Verstappen himself has taken to Twitter to talk about the incident and to congratulate his teammate.

Replies to his statement from others on Twitter are a mix of support and praise for his reflective attitude and others who echo the words of Vettel about his lack of judgement.

Having been involved in two contact incidents in two consecutive races, it would appear that Verstappen needs to asses his aggression levels or his judgement.

But, as Twitter users have pointed out, without overtaking, F1 wouldn't be a very entertaining sport.
