Whereas Conor McGregor usually divides opinion, the backlash against his attack on Khabib Nurmagomedov's bus has been unanimous.

Dana White was among the first to condemn the Notorious' behaviour, for which he has since been charged with assault and criminal mischief.

Of course, this isn't just a problem for UFC. Depending on the legal action taken against McGregor, the boxing world could be set to miss out on a potential rematch with Floyd Mayweather.

Since the 29-year-old's venture into the sport last year, he hasn't fought again, yet he has not been short of enemies.

He and Paulie Malignaggi started out as sparring partners before the McGregor camp broke the terms of their contract and posted footage of the American being floored in the gym.

The intention was to show McGregor's power, but it made Malignaggi look a fool.

That's something he's never quite forgiven and unsurprisingly, he has now taken the opportunity to call out his nemesis for not confronting Nurmagomedov face-to-face.

Malignaggi makes a fair point

"If you have a problem with somebody, you go see them," Malignaggi said on Brendan Schaub's Below The Belt podcast, per SportsJoe.

"You go to the hotel and you wait for him to get off the bus.

"Conor knows where the guys are staying. If you want to go see Khabib, if you want to go see somebody, you go the hotel, he has to get off the bus and you'll see him there."

The Russian was unscathed, but a number of other fighters were injured and shocked, particularly Rose Namajunas, Michael Chiesa, and Ray Borg.

Malignaggi insists that McGregor won't be disappointed not to have confronted his main target, though, or he would not have been in an MMA exile for the last 18 months.

"He's had a year to fight this guy and he hasn't fought him," the former welterweight added.

"Conor doesn't want to see Khabib Nurmagomedov, come on bro, who are we kidding?

"He didn't want to see him then either. That's what it's about; it's about fooling people. This guy's whole life is about fooling people.

"It's just people buy it. Everything he does is about fooling people."

Under normal circumstances, you'd expect McGregor to respond, yet with a court hearing in June, there's very little he can say back.
