Although there hasn’t been a complete gimmick change for Bray Wyatt ever since he was ‘deleted’ during his match against Matt Hardy at The Hardy Compound, the fact he’s aligned himself with the Woken one has been welcomed by WWE fans.

We’ve already seen glimpses of what we can expect from the duo. The Eater of World helped Matt in brilliant fashion during the WrestleMania 34 pre-show, allowing Matt to pick up the victory in the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal.

WOKEN

Along with this, Wyatt and Hardy defeated Titus Worldwide to advance to a number one contenders match against The Revival next week, with the winner heading to the Greatest Royal Rumble on April 27 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to take on The Bar for the vacant RAW tag team titles.

However, despite being on the verge of success with something that could reinvigorate Bray and his character, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer revealed the surprising news that Wyatt could - potentially - end up turning on Hardy and lead the SAnitY faction currently operating in NXT.

At the moment, the group is led by Eric Young and features the likes of Nikki Cross, Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain. However, Meltzer speculated that Wyatt could slot into that role once he turns on Hardy.

Usually, when a journalist like Meltzer speculates on WWE storylines and what the plans could be, the stars don’t usually respond and leave everyone wondering whether the rumours could be true or not.

This time, though, Wyatt decided to respond in epic fashion to call out Meltzer, while continuing the storyline.

RESPONSE

He posted: “@MATTHARDYBRAND, Who is this oracle @davemeltzerWON??? And why does [he] speak so poorly of me? My allegiance to #HouseHardy is true. As long as I stay away from the creature that lives in the lake…”

Obviously, Hardy was also going to get involved to continue selling the storyline and shoot down the claims Meltzer had made.

He added: “I know, MY COMPEER. We are DESTINED to change the plane identified as WWE FOREVAH...TOGETHER. Our INGENIOUS INSANITY shall IGNITE the INDUSTRY once AGEEN.”

It’s clear that sooner or later, Wyatt and Hardy are going to go their separate ways and it could be a brilliant way to introduce SAnitY to the main roster in the hope that they’re a lot more successful than The Wyatt Family.

However, it’s important to take into account that Meltzer claimed this has been pitched and isn’t actually in the works right now. Still, Hardy and Wyatt playing into it certainly makes it a lot more interesting by shooting down Meltzer's claims.
