Tyson Fury is back and the boxing world is a better place for it.

The former WBA, IBF and WBO Champion has not set foot in the ring since 2015, when he dramatically defeated Wladamir Klitschko in Germany.

Things have not been as rosey for Fury since then, Fury having battled drug abuse and depression while heaping on a massive amount of weight during his time away.

He was given a two-year backdated ban for the use of illegal substances and forced to relinquish his titles in what was a startling fall from grace for the self-proclaimed “Gypsy King”.

However, having been cleared for action after his tumultuous absence, the 28-year-old has been working exceptionally hard to make a return to the ring.

He finally announced a date for his return this week, but is yet to name an opponent for the June 9th bout in the Manchester Arena.

One thing is for sure, the boxing world was glad to see Fury back and looking fitter than ever, and many will be hoping that this is the beginning of the road towards a mega-fight with the one and only Anthony Joshua.

There were, however, a few in the boxing world who were less than pleased to see that Fury will finally be making his much talked about comeback.

Wladamir Klitschko, Fury’s defeated opponent from that momentous night in Germany in 2015, had very few nice things to say about Fury when speaking about his return.

Well, in truth, he had no nice things to say.

“Like a fart in the wind it is there and it is gone,” Klitschko told the Sunday Times.

Bit odd that.

“In the history of boxing there are a lot of examples of this kind of guy," he continued.

“They can be successful for a time but are not disciplined enough to continue to be successful.

“I wish Tyson well but I think there is a lack of discipline there, and discipline is more important than motivation. Motivation comes and goes, discipline remains.

“I am not Nostradamus, I can’t predict the future, but drawing from my experience I would say it is going to be very difficult for Tyson because there’s that lack of discipline.”

Some salt with your fries Wlad?

Looks like the giant Ukranian still harbours some hard feelings from that brutal night in Germany.
