We’ve reached the business end of the season.League titles around Europe are being wrapped up and relegations will soon be confirmed. In the Champions League, Liverpool, Roma, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have all booked places in the semi-final.And while the players and coaches are still hard at work, the focus has shifted away from the pitch. It’s common these days for clubs to launch their kits before the season is over. Last year, Liverpool wore their home kit for the current season in the final match of the 2016-17 campaign. It is, of course, done to ramp up excitement and create a buzz in the hope that supporters will buy the latest kit.But one thing that clubs can do to ensure fans part way with their money is to ensure the new kit looks the part, obviously.

Liverpool's 2018-19 kit is leaked

New Balance are Liverpool’s current suppliers and they did a fine job with this season’s number.

Liverpool supporters are eager to find out if New Balance can follow it up next season and based on leaked images, they have done.

The Reds’ home shirt for the 2018-19 season has surfaced online and it’s gone down a hit with the club’s fans.

Featuring a collar, it’s a break from tradition. It looks incredibly smart, with Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Virgil van Dijk modelling the new uniform.

Here’s how the new kit has been received by Liverpool fans.

It’s easy to imagine this shirt being seen all around Anfield next season.

The kit will look even better if Liverpool can add something to it to mark a sixth European Cup trophy.

The Reds reached the semi-final with a convincing 5-1 win over Manchester City and will play Roma in the next round.

The tie, which will see Salah return to his former club, is viewed by many as the best possible situation for Liverpool.

Klopp, though, doesn't see it that way.

"If anybody thinks this is the easiest draw then I cannot help this person; they obviously didn’t see both games against Barcelona," Klopp said following Friday's draw.

"In the first result, the 4-1, it was not like the game was - it was Messi genius against a good side of Roma.

"The second leg was outstanding, it was outstanding what they did. They should have probably won four or five-nil - I was really impressed.

“It is work and no problem with that and now we are looking forward of course to the first game.”
