One key aspect of the WWE production powerhouse that is vastly overlooked is those who tell the story of what's going on inside the ring at the commentary booth.

We have seen some of the greatest commentators of all time come and go from ringside; such as Gorilla Monsoon, Jerry "The King" Lawler, Jim Ross, Taz, and Michael Cole. Noticeably, all of the key commentators on RAW and SmackDown Live have been men.

Currently, RAW's commentary team consists of Jonathan Coachman, Corey Graves, and Michael Cole. SmackDown's is built up of Graves, Byron Saxton, and Tom Phillips.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE could be looking to take a huge next step in the Women's Revolution by taking it further than inside the ring.

To continue their trend of diversity, WWE has been teasing women on commentary now.

WWE Hall Of Famer Beth Phoenix recently assisted on commentary for the Mixed Match Challenge for the past several weeks. Meltzer reports that WWE is hiring based on fitting into certain demographics.

It looks like WWE could be gearing up to add a woman onto color commentary on one of the key shows during the week - RAW or SmackDown.

Meltzer didn't name anyone specifically who could be considered, but Phoenix definitely has to be in the running due to her experience on the Mixed Match Challenge these past several weeks.

She also helped call the WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal this past weekend in New Orleans. Lita helped call the Mae Young Classic match last year, so perhaps she is another Hall Of Famer that could be considered.

It should be interesting to see what WWE decides to do, as this would be a huge game changer for not only the Women's Revolution - but for WWE as a whole.
