Who's cutting onions?

Silva, who joined Man City from Valencia in 2010, is undoubtedly one of the finest midfielders in the Premier League.

He shared an update with his followers in March.

Silva tweeted: "I want to thank all of you for the love and good wishes received in the last few weeks, special thanks to my teammates, the manager and all at the club for understanding my situation.

"Also I want to share with you the birth of my son Mato, who was born extremely preterm and is fighting day by day with the help of the medical team."

Kevin De Bruyne is a contender for the Player of the Year award and the Belgian midfielder believes his Spanish teammate should also be in the running.

"He [Silva] can make the difference every time he wants to. He's probably one of the best this season," said De Bruyne.

"Since I came here, he's been unbelievable, he helped my game in a lot of ways. When he plays, we often win.

"For me, he is [in the running for Player of the Year], but obviously in the end when we did the voting we cannot choose any City players."

Silva is one of the most likeable footballers in the Premier League - and it's fantastic to see a photo of his son looking well on a joyous day for him!
