Chelsea have completed the signing of highly-rated teenage centre-back Tomas Kalas from Sigma Olomouc, according to reports.
The seventeen-year-old Czech defender has been linked with a host of top European clubs including both sides who fought out the Champions League final, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich.
The Gunners were another side who thought they were able to do a deal with Kalas, as Arsene Wenger personally tried to lure him to North London, but Chelsea look to have trumped them.
His club have confirmed Kalas has successfully negotiated a deal with another team but the identity of that team is yet to be revealed.
A statement on the club's official website read: "A spell at a top European club for Tomas Kala was successfully arranged today."
Kalas’ agent also refused to name the team his client has signed for, saying: "We cannot confirm the club's name yet," Pavel Zika told sport.cz.
"Negotiations were very difficult and I am glad they are behind us now, especially for the good of the player."
Kalas has played just one senior game before and will stay with Sigma for a further 12 months before joining up with his new team mates.
