England's summer series in South Africa is just months away.

After the disappointing Six Nations campaign for the Red Rose, which saw them lose the Calcutta Cup to Scotland, before further losses to France and eventual Grand Slam champions, Ireland, the pressure is firmly on Eddie Jones.

The blues of that series must be swiftly erased from memory, however, and preparations are already underway ahead of the trip to South Africa.

The tour to face the might of the Springboks on their home soil will give Jones the opportunity to potentially call up some unfamiliar names who have impressed for their club sides throughout the Aviva Premiership season to freshen up his options.

Before the squad is finalised, one of Jones' most experienced players has chipped in with a suggestion of his own.

Seasoned international James Haskell, who has found himself in and out of the England setup in recent years has urged the coach to take a gamble on his Wasps teammate, Jack Willis.

The 21-year-old was named Aviva Premiership Player of the Month for February and has emerged as one of the season's breakthrough stars at No.6.

And Haskell thinks it won't be too long before Willis is in contention to make his international debut.

"He's fantastic, he does what he does very well," said Haskell, per the Coventry Telegraph.

"His ability around the breakdown is well documented. I think he's great over the ball.

"It helps that he's got height and ability so he can put himself into weird and wonderful shapes. I reckon if I put my legs as far apart as his and get hit, it would be my career over so he does that very well.

"He's only 21 so like most people you would see an improvement but the raw talent that he is showing is up there."

"You would think he's probably knocking on England's door.

"There might be opportunities this summer or further down the line. He's certainly hungry to improve and he always delivers."

Certainly a glowing reference!

With the World Cup in Japan commencing in September next year, Jones has time and options at his disposal should he want to freshen up members of his squad after such a disastrous Six Nations.
