The WWE Hall of Fame these days is not only a well-respected award for a superstar, but it can also signify that said superstar being inducted is coming to the end of their active career inside the ring, which is why some superstars are reluctant to go in, and why WWE refuses to put some superstars in for the time being.

Superstars like The Rock, The Undertaker, Big Show, Kane, Triple H, will all be Hall of Famers in the future, but WWE still would like them all to be active performers in the ring, which is why they've held off inducting them for now. Another superstar that could be a part of this list too is Chris Jericho.

During a recent interview with StillRealToUs, Jericho revealed that he doesn't want to be placed into the WWE Hall of Fame at the moment, as he believes that's something for a superstar near the end of their career, which he doesn't think applies to him as he's at his peak. He also believes the Hall Of Fame is more for the fans than it is for anybody else.

He said: “I think for the fans it’s kind of a cool buttoning of the whole career. But I just watched the Hall Of Fame and Bon Jovi was up there with all the members and it was cool and then the guy from Dire Straits didn’t show up so it’s kind of an embarrassment.

"There’s so much drama behind the Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame because you’re talking about bands — the good thing about the WWE Hall Of Fame is it’s just you.

“So I imagine I’ll probably show up if I’m ever invited. But I don’t really feel like I’m at that point in my career where I should be in the Hall Of Fame.

"To me, that’s kinda the end of the road not kind of when you’re at your peak — like what people are saying about the Kenny Omega match and the quality of the match. ‘It’s the best match of Jericho’s career’ — well jeez if that’s the case then I got nowhere near the Hall Of Fame yet I still have a bunch of great matches left in me it’s not like that was my last ditch one and then I’ll explode into a puff of dust.”

WWE fans will be glad to hear that Jericho believes he still has years left in his wrestling career, as since he's one of the greatest wrestlers in WWE history, fans won't want to see him retire from being an in-ring performer anytime soon.

As for when he will perform in the WWE next, he will be one of the 50 men involved in the Greatest Royal Rumble match at the event by the same name a week on Friday at the King Abdullah International Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This will be his first WWE match since July 2017.
