The Superstar Shake-up is now in the books and based on the call-ups and moves we saw take place over the two nights, the majority of WWE fans are in agreement that SmackDown LIVE was victorious over Monday Night RAW this time.

That’s because the likes of AJ Styles or Daniel Bryan were widely expected to switch to the red brand, along with the likes of Charlotte and even The Usos.

SUPERSTAR SHAKE-UP

Instead, SmackDown’s biggest exits came in the form of Bobby Roode and Baron Corbin, while Shane McMahon and Paige managed to snatch Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy, Asuka, The Miz, The Bar along with SAnitY and Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas from NXT.

So, it’s been a pretty good week for the blue brand with some exciting feuds set to take place.

Speaking before the actual Shake-up, though, RAW general manager Kurt Angle shared the name of five stars on his brand he didn’t want to see jump ship to the Tuesday night show - and one of them did end up leaving.

When speaking with USA Today’s For the Win, Angle revealed that he wants to keep The Miz, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Finn Balor and Roman Reigns - naming the latter as the MVP of the past year.

MVP

When asked who he wanted to keep, Angle said: “There are a lot of guys.

“I think the most dependable were Seth Rollins, The Miz and Dean Ambrose until Dean got injured. I also really enjoyed Finn Balor’s year, I just don’t think that we’ve given him the opportunity for the world title, but that will change in the future.

“But the MVP this year, and maybe fans will disagree with me, but it’s Roman Reigns.

“A lot of fans might not like him, but he’s pretty damn good. This was a breakout year for him. He had some incredible matches, not specifically WrestleMania, but he had some incredible matches this year and he proved that he does deserve to be on top right now.”

Obviously, WWE didn’t do too bad with Angle by keeping four of the five stars he mentioned before the Shake-up on RAW, with The Miz heading over to SmackDown with fans excited to see what the plans could be for him and Bryan.
