It’s no secret why WWE fans are happy this week, as the Superstar Shake-up is in the books and SmackDown LIVE has managed to not only retain some of its most coveted stars but also snatched some big names from their rivals over on Monday Night RAW.

There were plenty of rumours circulating for months that AJ Styles’ impressive performances on the blue brand saw Vince McMahon wanting to build RAW around him. Then, Daniel Bryan’s in-ring return only increased rumours of the former SmackDown general manager heading to the red brand so they can capitalise on his popularity once again.

SHAKE-UP

They both stayed where they are. Not only those two, but the likes of Shinsuke Nakamura, The New Day, The Usos, Rusev and Charlotte Flair all retained their place on the Tuesday night show.

On the flip side, Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy, The Miz, The Bar, Asuka and The Club are only some of the stars Paige and Shane McMahon managed to bring over to SmackDown. However, they also managed to secure a huge star from NXT and one entertaining group.

Although there’s no Nikki Cross with them at the moment, SAnitY is bringing the chaos to SmackDown and the latter is somebody Dave Meltzer believes is being brought on to SmackDown to feud against the likes of Bryan, Styles and even Hardy.

During SmackDown, business manager Zelina Vega revealed that Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas is bringing his talent to SmackDown and Meltzer believes big things could be on the horizon for the entertaining heel duo.

EL IDOLO

According to Ringside News, he said: “That’s a big one I think.

“Another good heel can work with Daniel Bryan, can work with, I could see him work with Jeff Hardy probably, AJ [Styles] at one point.

“It’s kind of bad too bad because I think they left a lot on the table. I think the Andrade and Zelina Vega vs. Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae had a lot left to it, but it’s fine.

“You know it’s a good act so hopefully they do well.”

El Idolo’s career has been full of twists and turns since arriving in WWE.

At one stage, he wanted to leave the company until Alberto Del Rio convinced him otherwise and now, he’s probably going to go down as one of the best NXT stars that has moved to the main roster - depending on how they book him.

The company knows there is lots of potential there, especially as a huge Hispanic star. So, moving him to SmackDown in these big feuds could be the best decision for him.
