Ahead of their crucial game two encounter with the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night, Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue called for LeBron James to be aggressive from the tip and set the tone early. The King took Lue's instructions and did exactly that in stunning fashion as his huge first quarter outburst led the Cavs to a vital win to level the series at 1-1.James started the contest scoring the Cavs' first 16 points, going 7-of-8 from the field to give his team a huge lead out of the gates. He ended the first period with an astonishing 20 points.According to ESPN Stats & Information, this was the most points he'd ever scored in the first five minutes of a game. His 16 points in the first six minutes was also the most by any player in the first six minutes of a playoff game in the past 20 seasons, per ESPN.The three-time champion went into half-time with 29 points to his name, which set a Cavaliers franchise playoff record for points in a half. After the whirlwind start by LeBron, Indiana settled into the game and made it a close encounter for much of the second half as the game came down to the final minute.

The Pacers missed some big shots down the stretch and after James hit a couple of free-throws to close it out, Cleveland claimed a 100-97 win.

The Akron native finished with an incredible double-double of 46 points and 12 rebounds on an efficient 17-of-24 shooting. He also added five assists and two steals.

According to ESPN, this was the 33-year-old's 20th career postseason game with at least 40 points, tying him with Jerry West for the second-most ever and behind only Michael Jordan, who had 38.

In their heavy game one loss to the Pacers, the four-time MVP didn't attempt his first shot until the 1:52 mark in the first quarter.

Coach Lue made sure that wasn't going to happen again and drew the first play up for his superstar last night.

"Coach Lue called up the first play for me and it went down," James said, per ESPN. "So we went back to it. I was able to hit another one.

"And it just felt like I was in a really good rhythm, so I just tried to see how long I could stay in that zone and try to make a mark on the game early on.

"I played my game," he said.

LBJ had 12 field goal attempts in the first quarter, which is tied for the most he's ever had in the first period in his career. He emphatically answered the call from his coach to be more aggressive.

A backs-to-the-wall LeBron is always a joy to watch and Indiana had no answer for the best player in the world as he put Cleveland on his back.

The series will now quickly shift to Indianapolis as game three takes place on Friday night, finely poised at one game apiece.
