If the Oklahoma City Thunder still have any hopes of going deep into the playoffs this year, they'll need to step up their game fast, as they have not been performing to the standard which many would have expected of them.

The Thunder lost their Game 2 clash of their first-round playoff series to the Utah Jazz 102-95 on Wednesday night at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, and none of their big three of Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, and Paul George were performing very well on the night.

In total, the Thunder's big three shot a combined for 19-for-58 for the game, with Westbrook finishing with 19 points, nine rebounds, and 13 assists, while Anthony had 17 points and nine rebounds, and George had 18 points, 10 rebounds, and an assist.

What's more awkward for Oklahoma's big three though is how they performed during the fourth quarter of the game when the team needed them the most, as out of the 14 shots which they took as a group, not a single one was converted for points.

This is such an embarrassing statistic for a big three that was expected to take the Thunder deep into the playoffs this season, but instead, are struggling to get the desired result in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series. Don't take any credit away from the Jazz though, they played awesome defense, but Oklahoma needs to step up their game.

If it were not for Westbrook’s two made free throws in the fourth, the trio would have gone scoreless in the quarter. The Thunder's star trio is disappearing when the team needs them the most, and that must change for them to go far in the postseason.

Even the Jazz' star player in Donovan Mitchell, who had a historic night for his team, outscored the Thunder's big three by a 13-2 margin in the final quarter.

With the series tied now at 1-1, the Thunder needs to step up their performances so that they can take advantage in the series, especially with Game 3 on Saturday being away from home at the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Utah.
