LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers managed to level their first-round playoff series against the Indiana Pacers last night, placing their hopes of going deep into the postseason this year despite their seeding back on track.

They needed to change their fortunes quickly after being embarrassed and dominated by the Pacers in Game 1, and it was an all too familiar sign for the Cavaliers, who have struggled to find any form of consistency all season long.

They look to mend things on the trade deadline with several comings and goings of players, and while it did help bring some form back for Cleveland, it was ultimately too little, too late for them to finish in the top seeds of the Eastern Conference.

Speaking prior to Wednesday night's win, James spoke to the media where he revealed he believes the in-season roster changes hurt Cavs' chances to 'build for the playoffs', and their up-and-down roller coaster season played a big factor in their Game 1 loss.

Prior to Game 2, James said to ESPN: "I think we spent so much time trying to figure out who we were in the regular season and getting the right lineups and guys in and out and things of that nature, we could never build for the playoffs.

"It was kind of like, build for the next game. So the postseason finally hit us and it hit us very well. And I think that can be the best teacher for us to know exactly what we should be ready for tonight."

Sure enough, James and the Cavs were able to turn things around and get their postseason back on track, as they ran out 100-97 winners against the Pacers last night at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.

The Cavaliers' four-time MVP winner was the brightest star on the night with 46 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists, helping to tie their first-round playoff series at 1-1 entering Game 3 and a trip to Indianapolis on Friday.

Injuries and a turnaround of the roster on trade deadline day played a big factor into where the Cavaliers finished the regular season in the Eastern Conference, but it now looks like things are finally clicking on the court, and at a crucial time for the team as well.
