All in all, Manchester United's Premier League season is effectively over.

While the Red Devils still need to secure second place, the FA Cup will be their priority going into the final weeks of the season.

A semi-final with Tottenham awaits for them on Saturday and the chance to make sure they finish the campaign with silverware to their name.

That aside, however, United fans can well and truly turn their attention to the 2018-19 season.

The question on everybody's lips is whether Jose Mourinho's men can make up the difference to their city rivals who romped their way to the title this year.

2018-19 kits slowly being released

How will Mourinho spend? Who will he sell? And, less importantly but equally as exciting, what will the new kit look like?

Ok, so it probably doesn't stand up to the possibility of big money purchases, yet supporters are always intrigued to see the strips their teams will be sporting after the summer.

From garish third kits to the ever dangerous variants on home classics, there's always pressure on sports companies to deliver the goods.

Man Utd's 2018-19 strip 'leaked'

And this week has already seen Liverpool unveil their home kit, with a recent leak suggesting that United might not be too far behind.

Website Footy Headlines - who get it spot on most of the time - claim to have leaked next season's United home kit and it has the potential to be rather divisive.

Out are the white shorts and in are the black, and the top strikes an uncanny resemblance to Watford's 2015-16 home jersey.

Take a look at the leaked photograph below:

The kit design is reportedly “inspired by the railway men that formed the club."

United were founded in 1878 as Newton Heath LYR Football Club, just a stone's throw from the Carriage and Wagon department of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway depot.

And Adidas have sought to acknowledge that piece of history with the black lines across the body of the kit.

The jersey is due for release in May and the 'leaked' version has already caused debate amongst the Man Utd fans that have seen it.

Reminding fans of 2015-16 Watford

According to The Sun, comments such as "Watford in Red??", "It’s just this year’s Watford kit but in red" and "This better not be true," were posted by fans in response to the leak.

Another user tweeted: "I really hope the ‘leaked’ United kit is fake. Don’t wanna look like Watford from 2 years ago ffs."

Then there was another who posted: "United and addias getting great inspirations from watford home 2015/16 kit for our supposed home kit next season."

If United deliver silverware in it, however, it won't seem so bad after all.
