Over on Monday Night RAW, especially after the recent Superstar Shake-Up, the red brand is short a few top heels.

Many of RAW's top heels consist of Jinder Mahal, Baron Corbin, Elias, and Kevin Owens. While some of those names are former World Champions, there aren't enough high-tier heels for big programs on the show.

One top heel on RAW that isn't a full time competitor anymore is former multi-time World Champion Kane. Kane, who's real name is Glenn Jacobs, is currently entering a new career as a politician.

He is running for mayor of his hometown in Knoxville, Tennessee and is in the middle of a campaign. Kane was previously scheduled for the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia later this month, but was subsequently removed.

If Kane wins his election and is elected the mayor  Knoxville, Tennessee he will be traveling with the WWE a lot less and will give his full effort into being mayor.

Per a report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, if Kane wins his primary election he isn't going to be around the company for quite a while.

There's also a very good chance that Kane wins his mayoral campaign. Not only is he promoting his campaign on a national scale, but he is a very famous local celebrity in his area.

May 1st is the Knoxville mayoral campaign election day, which is likely why Kane pulled out of his scheduled appearance in Saudi Arabia a few days before. It should be interesting to see if Kane emerges victorious in his political bid.

If Kane does become mayor of Knoxville, it's hard for some fans not to believe that his professional wrestling career could come to an end as a result.

Over the years, Kane has become one of the most successful professional wrestlers of his era.

With legendary feuds against the likes of The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin, along with multiple World Championship wins, Kane is a future first-ballot Hall Of Famer.

What are your thoughts on Kane likely taking a significant amount of time off from WWE if he wins his mayoral campaign? Do you think that his professional wrestling career will likely come to an end if he begins a successful political venture? Do you think Kane will win his election?
