Veteran Bournemouth striker Steve Fletcher has signed a new one-year contract with the club.

The 37-year-old, who is the Cherries' record appearance maker, was released by the Dean Court side in 2007 following a 15-year spell but rejoined from Crawley Town in January 2009.

He made 45 league appearances for Eddie Howe's team in the 2009/10 season and netted four goals as the club sealed automatic promotion to League One. Fletcher is a legend at the south-coast club and has a stand at Dean Court named after him.
