Truly shocking stuff.

The players were then sent to the dressing room while riot police stormed the pitch, with Gunes being taken to hospital and having five stitches in his head.

However, that was far from the end of it, with Gunes' assistant Erdinic Guletkin being subjected to a vicious beating in the tunnel.

This should never, ever happen to anyone, let alone in a football setting.

Imagine if that happened in the Premier League.

There has been no official announcement as to when the game will be replayed, but after the issues with the crowd, it is highly likely that it will be played behind closed doors.

The punishments for both sides are likely to be pretty severe.
