Ronda Rousey destroyed by WWE Hall of Famer in scathing rant over WrestleMania rumours

With WrestleMania 34 in the books, Ronda Rousey is one of three superstars the fans have not only been talking about the most, but also one of the three names that stole the show inside of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Charlotte Flair’s victory over Asuka to end her undefeated streak was arguably the match of the night, but it was Rousey’s performance that had everyone in disbelief.

There was plenty of pressure on her to perform successfully in front of over 70,000 fans, plus mainstream media was carefully watching her every move to see whether the switch from the UFC paid off or whether she would fail.

It’s safe to say, she certainly didn’t sink when thrown in the deep end and the fans showed just how impressed they were throughout the match, including when she finally locked in the final armbar on Stephanie McMahon to give her and Kurt Angle the win.

Fans might remember the rumour that was circulating before the Grandest Stage of Them All, stating that the WWE might have Rousey submit Triple H instead of Stephanie.

Obviously, that didn’t happen for storyline purposes and now, WWE Hall of Famer Superstar Billy Graham has launched a verbal attack on Rousey for that, and also finds it insulting that Rousey is wearing attire in honour of her hero, Roddy Piper - while calling her a jobber, per Still Real To Us.

Responding to a statement claiming her use of Piper’s gimmick is nauseating, Graham said: “You my brother are dead on my man!!! I find it a total insult and absolutely reveals that she does not have an original thought in her head.

“Speaking of jobbers, I read today a quote by Meltzer that shook me to the core, it goes as follows. ‘There was a rumour going around by WWE officials prior to Mania 34 that Rousey was going to make HHH tap out to her armbar finisher (instead of Stephanie McMahon) and it appears the company went in the latter direction specifically due to storyline continuity reasons; as Rousey attacked Stephanie’s arm the next night on RAW whereas HHH is not a regular on-screen character and has disappeared for now.’

“WHAT??? Miss Lousy was going to make H tap out? This would have been received as well as a cement truck full of pig s**t being dumped on the Mania 34 fans. God folks, what is the WWE thinking??? RR is not a god of some kind but a mere female x UFC failure that got her flat ass kicked twice on the way out.

“Now this is nauseating. I demand that you fans respond to this c**p the WWE is trying to lay on you by even thinking about her making HHH tap out, god this makes me sick.”

Those are definitely some harsh criticisms for something that didn’t even happen and was simply a rumour at one stage. However, it’s clear to everyone that Rousey was anything but a failure in the UFC by helping put women’s MMA on the map.

That’s why her simply appearing at WrestleMania 31 was a massive deal, and her officially signing with the company is considered as one of the biggest in history.

Despite being a Hall of Famer, this isn’t something that’s going to sit well with fans that have been hugely impressed with Rousey.
