Paul Pogba has received criticism not just for his performances on the pitch, but for his actions off it.

For example, Pogba caused quite a stir when he turned up to the Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium earlier this month with light blue hair.

This enraged many, including Gary Neville. “The problem with Pogba is he doesn’t help himself," said Neville before the game on Sky Sports.

“I always think if you’re wise you don’t attract attention when things aren’t going your way but Pogba doesn’t work like that.

“He’s got a big job to do, he’s got to be serious about football.

“Coming out here with blue hair today, win and it’s fine, lose and it will be talked about forever more by City and United fans. It’s ridiculous.”

Pogba would later score two second half goals to save himself from more criticism, but his hair has still remained a talking point.

NEMANJA MATIC IS NOT A FAN

Pogba's hair is most certainly unique. His midfield partner at Man United, Nemanja Matic, issued a brilliant answer when asked whether he would consider having hair like Pogba's himself.

“No, I have kids," Matic answered. "If I do that my son is going to do the same, I have to have serious hair like Gary Neville."

Quality.

It also says it all about Matic. He would rather be role model for youngsters, rather than being flashy like Pogba.

Matic just goes about his business like a true professional, which is why he has earned the

respect of many at Old Trafford; including Jose Mourinho.

MATIC GIVES POGBA ADVICE

Matic had some kind words for the Frenchman, but says he needs to have more confidence so he can show his true talents on the football pitch.

"With his quality and personality he needs to have more confidence," Matic said.

"He needs to take more responsibility of course, he’s still young, he can improve and he will improve and he showed in this game [against City] that he always can play better and better and take responsibility.

"He scored and give to other players more confidence. After his first goal we started to believe we can do something. It is exactly what he has to do.

"He is a great player. He runs a lot, has the quality with ball, he can score, he can defend also very well. I like to play with him and also with Ander [Herrera], Scott [McTominay], Marouane. We have quality in the team, but we always need to improve if we want to win the title next season.”
