After beating Manchester United 1-0 last weekend at Old Trafford, and drawing 2-2 with Liverpool after being 2-0 down, you’d think that West Brom fans would be delighted.
But, the truth is, a draw against Liverpool simply wasn’t good enough.
The Baggies, under the guidance of Darren Moore, scored twice in the final 11 minutes against Liverpool to earn themselves a tremendous point at the Hawthorns.
A defeat would have seen them relegated from the Premier League there and then, while their single point leaves them eight points adrift of Swansea with three games remaining.
As for Liverpool, they missed the chance to cement their top-four place and carry momentum into their Champions League semi-final against Roma on Tuesday.
And it’s clear that Jurgen Klopp was far from happy at full-time.
In fact, he’s probably sick and tired of West Brom after failing to beat them in the league this season, while crashing out of the Champions League at Anfield against the same side.
JURGEN KLOPP WASN'T HAPPY AT FULL-TIME
And that frustration boiled over in the post-match interview with the German furious with the dry pitch.
Klopp appeared to relish the fact that West Brom are set to be relegated to the Championship and claimed that they’ll have to deal with dry pitches in the second-tier next season.
No chill from Klopp. He even had time to mug off the Sky reporter by asking if he's "ever played football before!"
Klopp went on to describe West Brom’s comeback as “useless” claiming that “the point doesn't really help West Brom. They don't need it. We needed two more. It's a strange situation. They are happy and we are not.”
Klopp is probably just annoyed that his side couldn't hold out for all three points.
Liverpool are now eight points clear of Chelsea but the west London club have a game in hand.
The fact that Antonio Conte’s side host Liverpool on May 6 means that the race of a top-four finish isn’t over just yet.
They will have to pick themselves up for their first-leg against Roma at Anfield.
