Manchester United are through to the FA Cup final after beating Tottenham 2-1 at Wembley on Saturday evening.Jose Mourinho’s side got off to the worst possible start, conceding a Dele Alli goal in the 11th minute and struggling in every department against their opponents, but Alexis Sanchez’s header in the 24th minute changed the whole complexion of the match.Spurs, who were looking to reach their first FA Cup final since 1991, then fell 2-1 behind midway though the second half when Romelu Lukaku’s inadvertent touch fell kindly to Ander Herrera, who produced a composed finish past Michel Vorm.United held on to their one-goal advantage and will now play either Chelsea or Southampton in next month’s final which, of course, will also take place at Wembley."The players were all very good and when they are all good the team is solid and we can play against any team including Spurs, who are one of the top teams in Europe,” Mourinho was quoted as saying by BBC Sport after the match. "It was a great achievement to beat them in their stadium."I had this morning one simple SMS (text message) from one of my bosses Ed Woodward - he was saying that ‘I believe we are going to win but if we don't the season is a good season, a season where everyone is professional and everyone is bringing the club in the right direction'. That's my feeling too."We can close the season in a final and that's a good achievement. But we need to focus on our six points and we deserve to finish second and to do that behind a fantastic team is a good achievement."

Kane is mugged off by the FA Cup's Twitter account

It was a particularly bad day for Tottenham striker Harry Kane, who struggled to make an impact against the Red Devils and fell a goal behind Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in the race for the Premier League’s Golden Boot award.

To make matters even worse for the England international, he was also mugged off by the FA Cup’s official Twitter account after the match, much to the amusement of Man Utd’s jubilant supporters. Here’s the tweet - and make sure you click play on Chris Smalling.

The tweet has gone viral, receiving 10,000 retweets and the same number of likes within the first hour of being tweeted.

You just wouldn’t expect this sort of tweet from the FA Cup’s official account and it’s a bit surprising that it hasn’t been deleted yet.

It's been a tough few weeks for Kane

But United supporters - and plenty of other football fans, for that matter - found it hilarious.

Kane, who is unquestionably one of the finest strikers on the planet right now, has been the subject of many jokes in recent weeks after appealing for a Spurs goal against Stoke City to be credited to him.

The goal was initially awarded to Christian Eriksen but Kane was adamant that he got the final touch.

He won the appeal but, in the process, has been mercilessly mocked on social media.
