After a two-year wait, Amir Khan returned to the ring on Saturday night.

The Bolton-born fighter, who hadn’t fought since losing to Canelo Alvarez back in May 2016, faced Canada’s Phil Lo Greco at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.

This was his first fight since signing for Matchroom and Eddie Hearn at the start of the year - but it didn’t last long.

It took Khan all of 40 seconds to record the 32nd victory of his professional career.

No, really.

Khan knocked down Lo Greco within seconds of the opening bell and then finished the job shortly afterwards.

Job done - an easy night’s work - and boxing fans were left stunned by the speed of Khan’s comeback victory.

This victory will increase speculation that Khan and Kell Brook will finally go head-to-head later this year.

Brook was ringside to run the rule over Khan at the Echo Arena.
