If there’s one thing WWE fans probably don’t want to see at future WrestleMania events for a while, the answer will most likely be that Roman Reigns shouldn’t be featured in the main event again.

His impressive run of four consecutive main event spots stretches back to WrestleMania 31. He’s battled Brock Lesnar on two occasions, while he’s reigned supreme in two of those main events as he defeated Triple H for the WWE Championship in Dallas while the following year in Orlando, he added the second defeat on The Undertaker’s WrestleMania record.

WRESTLEMANIA

However, if rumours are to be believed then the WWE could be working towards creating history at WrestleMania 35 next year in New Jersey, by having Charlotte Flair go up against Ronda Rousey in a match which was originally said to be featuring Asuka.

Obviously, WWE isn’t going to take The Big Dog out of a main event slot when they’re still adamant about pushing him, and with the roster continuing to add big names to make it a lot more stacked, the matches he could have next year could actually be main-event worthy.

However, WWE’s Spanish announce team recently caught up with him and asked who he’d like to face at the Grandest Stage of Them All in 2019 and he gave two very interesting options which fans would love.

If he was to have his way, he’d mix it up with SmackDown LIVE’s Daniel Bryan and if that could never come to fruition, he’d want to battle his Shield brothers in Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose in a triple threat match.

According to Ringside News, he said: “It’s difficult.

“The last few years have been a rollercoaster of sensations, a great opportunity, but I think I’d like to face Daniel Bryan again.

“I do not see much of the talents on SmackDown, but I know that he has a medical discharge and that if his health respects him, it would be a great fight for next year at WrestleMania.

“Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns. But if it can not be, then I’d like to face the rest of The Shield, Seth and Dean again, I think it would be great too.”

Considering Reigns and Bryan never had a rematch from their brilliant encounter at the Fastlane event ahead of WrestleMania 31, it’s a match the fans could be very interested in, but the reaction towards Reigns would, most likely, be unforgiving.

We have seen the dream bout between The Shield at Battleground, but having it at WrestleMania is a completely different story which draws even more interest, especially if a title is on the line.

While fans can be forgiven for not wanting to see Reigns in the main event, it’s obvious that matches like the ones he suggested belong in the spot.
