David James has admitted he will probably leave Portsmouth.

The veteran keeper is currently preoccupied with events in South Africa. But his contract with the Fratton Park outfit is due to expire in less than a week's time and although there has been talk of it being renewed, James wants to remain in the top flight.

"Of course I want to play on. I want to play Premier League football," he said.

"But my future is not something I am thinking about at the minute."
