Billy Joe Saunders is a very good follow on Twitter.

The WBO middleweight champion was recently blocked by David Lemieux, who simply grew tired of Saunders’ frequent taunts following his win over the Canadian.

Saunders defeated Lemieux in December 2017 but has continued to mock his opponent into April.

“You’re looking for a opponent for 26th any 1 of my sons is available must be 7 figures agin tho hv a good day old chap,” Saunders recently said to Lemieux on Twitter.

After Lemieux accused the Brit of running from him for 12 rounds, Saunders hit back: "David come on you know I slapped you around like a b**** in front of your wife.”

Eventually, Lemieux had enough. He blocked Saunders, with the full intention of never hearing from him again.

But Lemieux isn’t the only boxer who Saunders can no longer send tweets to. Speaking in his press conference ahead of his fight against Martin Murray on June 23, the 28-year-old admitted that Amir Khan has also blocked him.

Why Khan blocked Saunders

“I only said that Kell Brook would beat him and to me it just shows what a little coward he is, what a little fraggle he is to block me on Twitter over that.

“I’m sure you’ve got your opinion here, some might think Martin will beat me. I’m not going to block you on Twitter.

“It’s just stupid to do, it’s childish. And Kell Brook would knock him out cold I reckon, just for the record, and f*** his Twitter as well.”

Tell us how you really feel, Billy.

It’s easy to see why Saunders has so many supporters. His honest approach to boxing is easy to admire.

And then there’s his talent. The win over Lemieux took Saunders to 26-0 and many want to see him fight the WBA (Super), WBC, IBF and IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin.

Indeed, the fighter from Hertfordshire is eager to meet ‘Triple GGG’ - sooner rather than later.

"I'd like home advantage in that fight but since I was a kid I've dreamt of a huge unification fight in Las Vegas. That'd be nice,” Saunders recently said, per World Boxing News.

"I'm not interested in fighting anyone else. Golovkin is the one I want. He keeps saying he wants to unify - well here I am and I'm ready to have it with him.”
