Despite the damage he caused, UFC is yet to issue their punishment on Conor McGregor for the damage which he did during the fight week of UFC 223 at the start of the month.

McGregor was caught on camera throwing a dolly at one of the fighters’ buses, causing multiple fights to be cancelled, as Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg both suffered facial injuries. It is believed that the attack was due to Khabib Nurmagomedov’s confrontation with his good friend Artem Lobov, and the Irishman has since been charged with multiple counts of assault.

While initially calling Notorious' actions the most disgusting thing that’s ever happened, Dana White has since cooled off on his criticism, which has received backlash from the UFC and MMA community.

UFC analyst Joe Rogan recently said on his podcast that there is a double standard at the moment in UFC, as he believes the rules have been bent for McGregor because he’s so valuable to the promotion.

Rogan said, via MMA Fighting: “He just keeps f**king up with this kind of stuff and no one’s saying, ‘Get rid of him!’ He’s worth so much money. It’s really fascinating.

"Imagine if Ray Borg and him switched sides. If Ray Borg showed up with all his boys and was screaming and yelling and threw a dolly at the window, it’s a done deal forever. Think about Paul Daley. Paul Daley must be at home going, ‘Motherf**ker! F**k Dana White!’

“Until you get to that stratosphere that Conor McGregor - there’s so much money to be made, that’s the problem. The rules get bent. All Paul Daley did was throw a punch at Josh Kosheck after [fight was over]. It didn’t even connect! That could have been sorted out.

“There’s a level to the game where you’re so valuable - if Conor McGregor does a pay-per-view fight, especially if they do all that crazy nonsense with Mayweather - if they ever did that, they’re just printing money. They’re printing money. It’s so hard for them to not take that money.”

Paul Daley was given a lifetime ban from UFC for the attempted sucker punch of Josh Koscheck back in 2010 after their fight was well over. He hasn't thought for the promotion since and many believe McGregor should face the same punishment.

Whether or not Notorious fights with UFC again remains to be seen. If Rogan's word is anything to go by though, there's a strong chance he will just because of the money which he can produce.
