After being eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Golden State Warriors, the San Antonio Spurs now have a huge offseason ahead that will shape their immediate future.

At this stage, there's no telling what the Spurs roster will look like next year.

There are question marks about Kawhi Leonard's future as his mysterious absence from the team for much of the year has cast doubt on his commitment to the team.

Then there's veteran pair Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker who may both contemplate retirement this summer.

But one player who has already made up his mind about playing next season is Pau Gasol.

After completing his 17th campaign in the NBA, he was also expected to weigh up his future but that won't be necessary as he's keen to continue playing.

The 37-year-old says he feels healthy enough to keep going for years to come and has no plans to call time on his career.

"I have plenty of gas in the tank. I feel I can do a lot of good things on the floor. Hopefully I'll play, in my mind, three or four years at least," Gasol said, per TrendBasket. "So that's what's on my mind.

"But knowing that, I also take it one year at a time, and try not to look too much too far into the future, because a lot of factors might come into play.

"I feel like I've had a pretty good season, very efficient for the minutes and opportunities that I've been given. One of my most efficient seasons (probably) seasons when I look at it."

Despite starting in 63 of the 77 games he played in the regular season for the Spurs, Gasol was a reserve in their first-round series with the Warriors.

He didn't have a huge impact as he averaged just six points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 18 minutes per game in his backup role.

In his 77 outings in the 2017-18 campaign, however, he posted 10.1 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.0 block and showed he can still be productive.

The two-time champion has a contract with San Antonio until 2020 and is looking to see it out.

The Spaniard has had a Hall of Fame career in the league and will be remembered as one of the most consistent big men when he does eventually bring his illustrious career to an end.

But fans of the center will be happy to know that they haven't seen the last of him yet.
