The return of Tyson Fury is drawing ever nearer.

The Manchester-born fighter will make his comeback in the ring on June 9, with the name of his opponent still unknown.

During Thursday's press conference, Fury's promoter Frank Warren reminded boxing fans not to expect a high-profile name for his first fight in two-and-a-half years.

The Gypsy King's comeback is a hugely exciting prospect in the heavyweight division, one which will certainly inject some fear into the veins of the two unbeaten top dogs, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder.

The big story in boxing right now is Wilder's supposed $50m offer to Joshua and Eddie Hearn to get the fight sorted as soon as possible.

It was an offer that Joshua said previously that he could not refuse, so hopefully we are on our way to seeing the super-fight come to fruition.

Whether it is in Las Vegas or at Wembley, people just want to see them meet in the ring and none more so than Fury himself.

And in his latest interview with iFL TV, he explains why the bold move from the Bronze Bomber's team is exactly what the sport needs.

After telling Joshua to accept the mega-money offer, Fury explains that the potential bout is the sort of entertaining matchup boxing sorely needs.

"I hope they fight, I hope they fight each other," he says. "Knock lumps off each other as well, be good won't it? Good entertainment for the boxing fans and for the paying customer.

"Because I am sick of paying for rubbish fights on pay-per-view, aren't you? Twenty quid for some idiot to go over in a round, just no good.

"I want to see two fellas punch blood and snot out of each other and I believe Wilder and Joshua will do that.

"And I hope they earn 150 million not 40 million, that's chump change ain't it?"

It's impossible not to agree with what Fury's saying.

Joshua's last fight against Joseph Parker on pay-per-view certainly didn't captivate fans and it seems the Watford-born fighter needs to be up against a brawler to bring out the real fireworks.
