The WWE's Greatest Royal Rumble is tomorrow night and the company is deep in preparations at the moment in Saudi Arabia.

In magnitude, the event rivals that of WrestleMania as some of the biggest names possible are being brought in for the show. Names such as Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, John Cena, and more are expected.

WWE has been pulling out all the stops for the event, and it looks like they just missed out on having one great Hall Of Famer participate in their massive 50 Man Royal Rumble main event.

It appears as though WWE offered former WWE Champion Shawn Michaels a spot in the Rumble but he respectfully declined. This comes from Michaels' longtime friend and former DX member Sean "X-Pac" Waltman.

Waltman revealed on his podcast, X-Pac 1,2,360, that Micahels was offered the deal from WWE (quotes via Wrestling Inc.):

"[There's] a lot of money being thrown around," said Waltman. "It's an insane amount of money being thrown around.

"I know that this weekend I was in Baltimore and I was with Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash and we were talking about that.

"They wanted to get Shawn [Michaels], and he was just like, 'you know what, don't even bother sending me an offer and trying to tempt me.'

"Because there's huge money offers. And he's going, 'I got a thing with one of my kids, and I'm doing that, and that's all there is to it.'"

This isn't the first time WWE has approached Michaels for a return - who retired from in-ring competition back at WrestleMania 26 after losing a retirement match to The Undertaker in Arizona.

Originally a deal was offered to have The Heartbreak Kid take on AJ Styles at WrestleMania 33 for a professional wrestling dream match.

Of course, Michaels turned that deal down, citing in a recent episode of Table For 3 with Kevin Nash and Styles, that it would've done nothing for either one of them in the long run. He did note that if the offer was made 10 years ago he would've been very interested.

It looks like, for now, any hope of HBK returning to the ring is thrown out the window.

What are your thoughts on Michaels turning down an appearance at the Greatest Royal Rumble? Do you think he should've taken the offer to travel to Saudi Arabia? And do you think we'll ever see Michaels wrestle again? Let us know your thoughts on the matter in the comments section below!
