Justin Rose was forced to take extreme measures during the Zurich classic in New Orleans, which made for great viewing for all those watching on the course, and those at home around the world. The Englishman, who is competing at the event at TPC Louisiana, found the water having played a shot off the tee at the par-three third.Playing alongside Ryder Cup teammate Henrik Stenson, the shot cannoned into the water, unfortunately for Rose, but the drama didn't end there. The 37-year-old, who is currently fifth in the PGA Tour World Ranking, also fancied his chances about retrieving the ball, which was at that point submerged in the water. At this point, most golfers usually just accept defeat and take a drop shot, but oh no, not Rose, he was prepared to go the extra mile to not lose a shot.Rose removed his shoes, stripped down to his underwear in order to reach the ball, and then played the shot out of the water in an improvised effort.Effortless and stunning from Rose. His playing partner Stenson had, nine-years earlier, done the same at the WGC-Cadillac Championship, so it was Rose's turn to follow suit.Following his actions to retrieve his shot, Rose joked about the circumstances that led to him stripping down despite alligators nearby.

However, it turns out that he was following orders from his Swedish teammate Stenson.

Rose said: "My partner showed me what you've got to do, remember Doral?" Rose said. "He said 'get in there!'"

Rose is currently -10 at the event in New Orleans, three shots off the lead with two days of the event to play.

Rose managed to pitch the ball out of the hazard to within 40 feet of the hole, though, he was unable to get an under-par score and carded a bogey-four.
