Jarrell Miller may have weighed in at 304lbs for his fight against Johann Duhaupas on Saturday night but that didn’t stop him from recording a win via unanimous decision after 12 rounds. The judges scored the contest 119-109, 117-111 and 119-109 in favour of ‘Big Baby’, whose record now stands at 21-0-1.After the win, Miller, seizing the moment and fuelled by adrenaline, called out British champion Anthony Joshua."I know I would run Anthony Joshua out the ring,” Miller, 29, said.“Tell him to come over here and I will toast that English muffin.”Eddie Hearn, AJ’s promoter, insisted afterwards that a fight with Miller could happen if a deal cannot be reached with Deontay Wilder. So it’s definitely something to keep an eye on.

What's being said about AJ

But Joshua, the reigning IBF, WBA (Super), IBO and WBO heavyweight champion, won’t be very concerned by Miller after his performance against Duhaupas.

Miller was unable to generate much power behind his punches and looked poor in the latter rounds, the task of carrying around so much weight proving difficult.

The Brooklyn fighter’s defence was exposed, too. Duhaupas was able to connect pretty much whenever he attempted to, but a lack of power meant Miller went untroubled.

After watching the fight, boxing fans are in agreement that Joshua would have no problems against Miller.

Joshua, who boasts a 21-0 record, has the power to capitalise on Miller’s defensive flaws.

There is simply a huge gulf in class between the two heavyweights.

Miller even acknowledged after the fight that shedding some weight would be a good idea.

To last in the ring with Joshua, who has proven he can go 12 rounds, being in the right condition is simply a must.

Boxing fans won’t be disappointed if they don’t get the Joshua-Miller bout.

Instead, it’s Joshua versus Wilder that everyone is calling for.

Wilder’s team reportedly offered Joshua $50 million this week to take the fight but doubts have surfaced as to whether such sums are actually available to Shelly Finkel and co.
