Manchester United will be feeling rather confident going into their clash with Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

Arsenal are entering the game with a considerably weakened team with Arsene Wenger seemingly focusing his attention on the club's Europa League semi-final with Atletico Madrid.

Mesut Ozil, Alexandre Lacazette, Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Shkodran Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny were all left behind in London.

Wenger himself conceded just last week: "Europa League is important for us - everybody knows that and we are at [the] stage where of course we focus on it because in the Premier League we have a very, very, very slim chance to get further up.

"The Europa League is one of the big targets of the season."

Man Utd v Arsenal on Sunday

Meanwhile, United enter the game with an impressive recent record over the big six - scoring wins over Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham in the last three months.

It all looks set for the Red Devils to score another victory over their rivals in what will be Wenger's last trip to Old Trafford.

It could also be another opportunity for Danny Welbeck to try and impress against his old club.

Man Utd fans in stitches over Arsenal tweet

In fact, Welbeck was the focus in part of Arsenal's pre-match Twitter activity with the Gunners showing off the England striker's record against United.

The club tweeted before the game: "No Arsenal player has scored more goals away to Manchester United than @DannyWelbeck 👊 #DatGuy."

Very impressive, right? Well, not really when you consider his 'record' stands at two goals.

Yes, two. That's the same tally Jesse Lingard amassed in one trip to the Emirates earlier in the season and United fans have superbly trolled their rivals over the tweet.

Check out the reaction:

Welbeck scored against United during his debut season at Arsenal in the FA Cup and again in 2016 when Marcus Rashford announced himself to the world.

It's a pretty embarrassing 'record' to tweet about and it sums up Arsenal's horrendous recent history with trips to United.

That's not to mention the fact Emmanuel Adebayor is the only player to score two goals at Old Trafford for Arsenal in the entire Premier League era.

Their last league victory at the ground came in September 2006 when Adebayor was on the scoresheet.

The likes of Robin van Persie, Olivier Giroud, Thierry Santi Cazorla all sit level with a Tyler Blackett own goal on the scoring ranks for Arsenal v United.

Don't worry though Gooners, we've heard Welbeck is pretty lethal in this fixture...
