The Superstar Shake-up and the Greatest Royal Rumble are now in the books, so it looks like the championship situation on both Monday Night RAW and SmackDown LIVE are slightly clearer for now.

However, with The Miz set to battle Seth Rollins at the upcoming Backlash pay-per-view, we could still be in for some surprises as many believed the event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia last week could have seen two championships switch brands.

CHAMPIONSHIPS

One title match which was never really in any doubt - and was perhaps the most predictable match of the evening - saw Sheamus and Cesaro of The Bar come up short against Bray Wyatt and Woken Matt Hardy.

With the RAW tag team championships vacant thanks to Nicholas’ hectic schedule, RAW general manager Kurt Angle created a short tag team eliminator which saw The Deleter of Worlds advance to the King Abdullah International Stadium. With The Bar moving to the blue brand in the Shake-up, though, it was clear that this new alliance between Wyatt and Hardy was going to emerge victorious.

Now that they’re the new RAW tag team champions, it seems they could have their first challengers waiting for them.

After claiming on Twitter that The Deleter of Worlds have procured on their expedition of gold, Bobby Lashley decided to respond to Matt’s tweet by dropping hints that he and Braun Strowman could be the ones challenging for the gold next.

POTENTIAL FEUD

Lashley and Strowman have teamed up recently when they steamrolled through Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, while there were also strong rumours before WrestleMania 34 which suggested that the returning Lashley could be The Monster Among Men’s mystery partner - before Nicholas was given the nod.

He simply tweeted: “@BraunStrowman congrats Deleters,” with an appropriate emoji that has left many fans talking about he and Strowman being first in line for Wyatt and Hardy. Strowman also responded to further throw fuel into the fire.

He added: “Hmmmmmmmmmmm indeed congrats,” with the same emoji that raises suspicion.

There has been a lot of talk about Strowman potentially being the man that dethrones Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship, especially since he’s coming off a huge win in Saudi Arabia by becoming the Greatest Royal Rumble Champion.

However, with The Beast’s next title defence expected to take place at Money in the Bank - where he could eclipse CM Punk’s modern day ‘record’ and overtaking the 434 day world title reign - there’s a lot of time for Strowman to get involved in a feud and this could be the perfect one.
