Coming off of one of the most hyped events of the year, The Greatest Royal Rumble, from Saudi Arabia, the WWE is in Montreal, Canada for tonight's (Mon. April 30, 2018) episode of Monday Night RAW.

This is the go-home show to the Backlash pay-per-view (PPV), which will start off by being WWE's first co-branded PPV going forward. Some big matches are on deck for this weekend so expect this episode to help build them up before the big payoff this weekend.

With matches such as Samoa Joe vs. Roman Reigns, The Miz vs. Seth Rollins, and many more set for Backlash, lets see what RAW had in store for us just days away from the event.

Here are the full results and analysis from tonight's episode of Monday Night RAW:

All Out War Erupts To Begin RAW

To open up Monday Night RAW Roman Reigns hit the ring to cut a promo on his Greatest Royal Rumble loss to Brock Lesnar. Reigns said that everyone saw the footage and knows he should be the Universal Champion right now - which got a ton of boos.

A promo from Samoa Joe then interrupted Reigns, and he vowed to end his down-spiraling career at Backlash this weekend. Jinder Mahal then interrupted Reigns to challenge The Big Dog later tonight.

Sami Zayn's music hit, and the hometown hero received a huge reaction from the crowd. He said that he was forced to miss the Greatest Royal Rumble due to an illness, and said he wants a crack at Reigns later tonight.

Kevin Owens' music hit and the crowd lost it again. KO said the people truly want to see himself vs. Reigns, and held his hand over each man's head to see who the crowd wants to see face Reigns more.

Owens said sorry to both Zayn and Jinder before stepping up to Reigns, who rewarded Owens with an uppercut. Both Mahal and Zayn jumped Reigns before Owens joined in, and Bobby Lashley came out for the save.

The numbers game again began to favor Mahal, Zayn, and Owens before Strowman hit the ring to even things out. Reigns, Strowman, and Lashley cleared the ring to a reign of boos. The crowd only seemed to like Strowman of that trio.

Score - 9/10

This is a near perfect score with the exception of what it's setting up. Fans are sick and tired of multi-man matches always main eventing RAWs, and they always likely end in disqualifications. As for the opening segment, it was phenomenal simply because of the amazing crowd reactions that both Owens and Zayn received. Truly an amazing thing to see.

Elias vs. Bobby Roode

Elias hit the ring and sung a song about Bobby Roode, burning the city of Montreal in the process. Roode interrupted Elias' song and made his way down to the ring for their match. A very physical match-up from Roode and Elias here.

The entire match Elias was targeting Roode's neck and he was selling difficulty breathing. Finally, Elias threw Roode neck-first into the turnbuckle and he rolled out of the ring in pain. The referee didn't end the match but called for medical staff to tend to him.

Elias got on the mic and announced himself as the winner before retreating upstage. Roode was still being assisted by the medical staff.

Score - 6/10

The match was solid, nothing great. I enjoy anytime a match focuses on one competitor assaulting a particular body part of his adversary. The finish was simply executed poorly. No reason to end the match without much of a conclusion and it does nothing for the feud between the pair. I'm virtually uninterested in this rivalry and this match didn't help.

Authors Of Pain vs. Local Talents

The Authors Of Pain hit the ring for a Tag Team match against a couple of local talents - Jean-Paul and Francios. Of course the AOP made easy and quick work out of these two in a huge squash match.

Score - 8/10

AOP looked very strong and the local talents actually had a fair bit of charisma and made it a lot more interesting. Both Akam and Rezar looked like a million bucks, meaning Jean-Paul and Francois did their jobs. This segment was good for what it was meant to be.

Seth Rollins and Finn Balor Take Out Miztourage

Seth Rollins came out to celebrate his successful retain of his Intercontinental Title at the Greatest Royal Rumble. Rollins was getting a ton of love from the crowd, who had been great all night. The Architect said he has been thinking of the kind of champion he wants to be, and says he wants to be nothing like Brock Lesnar.

Finn Balor's music hits and he comes out to the ring to congratulate Rollins on his retainment. He then notes that they are 2-2 in singles matches against each other. He challenges Rollins to an Intercontinental Title match later that night, despite that Rollins needs to defend against The Miz this weekend.

Rollins and Balor shake hands and agree to the bout but then The Miztourage (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) come out. Dallas and Axel have t-shirts with all four of their faces on them and pitch to be the new Four Horsemen of WWE.

The pair are denied and attempt to attack Rollins and Balor, who clean house very quickly. Suddenly, Balor attacks Rollins from behind and gets a few boos in the process. They smile at each other as Balor makes his way up the ramp.

Score 9/10

This segment was a perfect way to set up a match between the pair later on in the night, and added a bit of good comedy with The Miztourage. Rollins and Balor are two of the best well-rounded Superstars on the roster. It has been a pleasure to see them feud for the past several weeks.

Ruby Riott vs. Sasha Banks

Riott and Banks actually put on a great match here. The interference from Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan turned out to pay huge dividends for Ruby, who was able to finally hit a Riott Kick for the win. A great finish to a great match.

Score - 9/10

The Riott Squad continues to look strong and a win for the trio's leader over a multiple time RAW Women's Champion only makes them look stronger. The only negative about this segment was the references to Banks' feud with Bayley, which has been dragged out far too long.

Roman Reigns, Bobby Lashley, and Braun Strowman vs. Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Jinder Mahal

This match was actually very good for a Six Man Tag match. The crowd was pretty much cheering on Owens and Zayn, and were only partial to Strowman as they booed Reigns and didn't care much for Lashley.

After some great spots and crowd reactions, Strowman finally hit the Running Powerslam on Owens to pick up the win for his team.

Score 8/10

The match was very entertaining and the crowd made it a lot more special with their reactions for Zayn and Owens. I find it a bit odd that Reigns and Strowman are suddenly able to set aside their major differences and team up together, but they picked up the win regardless.

Baron Corbin vs. No Way Jose

Corbin attacked Jose last week and the pair were bound to meet again sooner or later. Corbin was getting the upper hand on Jose up until Titus O'Neil came out for the distraction. Corbin interrupted a O'Neil interview earlier in the night and called him a waste of time.

Thanks to the distraction from O'Neil and Titus Worldwide, Jose was able to capitalize and get a roll-up pinfall victory.

Score - 7/10

The match was decent and having O'Neil come out and distract Corbin by recreating his Greatest Royal Rumble botch was entertaining. It seems that Corbin vs. O'Neil could be the next step in WWE's slow build of Corbin.

Mickie James (with Alexa Bliss) vs. Natalya (with Ronda Rousey)

This match was more focused around Rousey if we're being honest. Natalya and James put in a good few minutes inside the ring before Bliss angered Rousey by trying to interfere and forced The Rowdy One to chase her around the ring.

Rousey wasn't able to catch Bliss, but all the meanwhile Natalya scooped up the rollup win. Bliss retreated up the ramp but was met by Nia Jax. Bliss ran back towards the ring but escaped through the crowd. Jax then hit the ring and appeared to size up Rousey before raising both she and Natalya's hands.

Score - 8/10

James will be working with Rousey on the upcoming European tour, which is why Rousey is involved in this whole debacle. Jax and Bliss still have unfinished business, hence her interruption after the match. Solid build-up for both storylines here, however, Natalya's future in this storyline remains unclear.

Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor For The Intercontinental Title

As many expected, Rollins and Balor put on a tremendous main event with one another to close the show. With plenty of high spots and false finishes, Rollins wound up retaining his title with a vicious Curb Stomp.

Score - 10/10

These two put on an absolute classic! Their feud has been nothing short of great in the past few weeks since WrestleMania and after Rollins takes on The Miz at Backlash this weekend it will likely continue on.
