Just when everybody thought that the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia would mark the end of Roman Reigns’ feud with Brock Lesnar - along with the long-winded Universal Championship pursuit - the WWE threw another curveball with the ‘controversial’ finish annoying a lot of fans.

With the WWE doing all they can to not make The Beast’s contract details public, such as the duration, the expectation in the Middle East was that at the second time of asking, The Big Dog would finally get the job done and send Lesnar back to the UFC.

GREATEST ROYAL RUMBLE

The frustration from fans all stems down to the fact that WWE turned their backs on their own rules regarding the steel cage stipulation. Other than a pinfall or submission victory, a superstar wins when both feet touch the ground and when Reigns hit that huge Spear on Lesnar to send both men crashing through the cage, everybody was questioning why Lesnar was announced as the victor.

Obviously, it’s a way to protect both men and the chances are, this feud is going to continue with the former Shield member potentially getting a third opportunity at trying to defeat Lesnar.

However, one Twitter user has shared a video of that sketchy finish which might have thrown the whole outcome in doubt,

Twitter user ‘Mattskilletguy’ has shared a video which shows that Reigns might not have been the one that had both feet touching the floor and instead, Lesnar did first.

FOOTAGE

As you’ll be able to see below - especially in the slow-motion - not both of Reigns’ feet touched the floor first. Instead, one of them landed and on the apron and stayed there until Lesnar rolled off the cage to win the match.

Despite this, WWE seems to be going with the angle that the referee made the mistake during the match and that Reigns’ feet touched the floor first. It might have been a complete accident that his foot did land on the apron, but the replay does clearly show that Lesnar is the rightful winner of that match.
