One of the many reasons why WWE fans were so ecstatic that the company managed to pull off a huge coup and actually sign Ronda Rousey to a deal was because she was said to be signing on a full-time basis.

This included appearing on Monday Night RAW, pay-per-views and everything in between. The love for her solidified when it was revealed despite being a massive name who will easily draw more eyes to the product, she wasn’t going to be getting any special treatment and would instead be treated like a regular superstar.

EXCITEMENT

When you combine all of that with the fact that she worked hard in the Performance Center to put on arguably the greatest in-ring debut in history when she shocked the world to pick up a win at WrestleMania 34 alongside Kurt Angle where they defeated Stephanie McMahon and Triple H, it comes as no surprise why fans are still cheering for her.

Plus, she's a genuine lifelong WWE fan. That does go a long way to determine whether fans like you or not.

However, although she is a full-time WWE superstar, the Baddest Woman on the Planet hasn’t been used as many thought she would. On the flip side, it’s a tough task for WWE to continue using Rousey every week without making her upcoming matches feel special and unmissable.

It seems as if WWE fans will be in for some disappointment, though, as Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has revealed that the company is switching up the way Rousey will be used going forward.

Speaking on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer has revealed that the WWE will run with the idea that ‘less is more’ and have Rousey on a ‘Lesnar schedule’ instead.

LESS IS MORE

According to Ringside News, he said: “I felt like the usage of Ronda Rousey in kind of a nothing of a situation she kind of felt like less of a star than she should feel like on this show.

“I feel like they don’t need to figure out a way to use her every single week. In fact, it’s best for all concerned if she’s on the ‘Lesnar’ schedule where she doesn’t always show up but when she shows up, it’s always impactful.

“I think right now, they’re trying to figure out a way to get her on every week without wrestling I mean you can do that and there’s ways to do that but I don’t know if it’s this way.

“But the fact she was on late and she has star presence kind of helped the Natalya/Mickie James match.”

Lesnar is a once in a lifetime athlete, and even he can’t escape the criticism from fans from having a ridiculous part-time schedule with fans waiting for the day a worthy contender defeats him for the Universal Championship and sends him packing.

Although Rousey might be loved right now, going down that route could seriously backfire in the long-run when fans grow to become impatient with dominant booking on a part-time basis.
