It's now less than six weeks until Tyson Fury marks his return to the boxing ring, following a two-year absence from the sport in relation to a doping ban.

The 'Gypsy King' was finally given the all-clear to make his comeback earlier this year, and signed a multi-fight deal with Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions.

As of right now, Fury's opponent for his first fight since November 2015 has yet to be named, but the chances are if the former World heavyweight champion comes into the bout at even half of his peak fitness levels, the general consensus is that the fighting pride of Manchester will continue his undefeated record.

And on the day it was announced that the fight will be screened via BT Sport, Fury took part in a media scrum at London's BT Tower, where he stated that he will be on the top of the mountain again one day.

“My promise to the world of boxing is that I will reign supreme once again," claimed Fury.

"When I do, you’ll ask how I did it but not only am I going to do it; I’m going to make it look easy.

“They say once you have it, you never lose it, and I have it in abundance. A little bit of puppy fat never hurt anybody. I hear some people even like it!

“I had a bit of weight to lose. It was fun and games getting it off and even more fun putting it on. I aim to keep it off for a while – at least until a week after the fight.

“Even at 27 stone, the sharpness was always there. Now the weight has come off and I look good. Don’t I look GOOD?!"

Fury's last bout was his famous defeat of the unified heavyweight champion of the World Wladimir Klitschko. That seems like a lifetime ago now, and there are now two new faces at the top of the division after Fury had to relinquish the belts - those faces being Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder.

And Fury has warned the big hitters of the sport that the reinvented version of himself will be an even tougher force to deal with before he had to step away from the ring.

“For some people, going into a boxing ring is like facing the guillotine. My whole life is based around how much I’m going to enjoy it and what games I’m going to play in there," stated the Gypsy King.

“I feel better today than I did when I fought Wladimir Klitschko. Now I’ve found what I was searching for inside myself, you’re going to see a better Fury. A vintage Fury.”

With these kind of statements, Fury has no doubt put the heavyweight division on notice as he ramps up the intensity ahead of his comeback.
