Game 1 of the second-round series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Toronto Raptors took place on Tuesday night and it’s the Cavs who have taken an early lead in the series and one step closer to the Eastern Conference Finals.

After overtime, the Cavaliers narrowly won 113-112 against the Raptors at the Air Canada Center in Toronto last night. LeBron James, as many people would have expected, was the star man on the court, as he finished with a triple-double performance of 26 points, 11 rebounds, and 13 assists, while also shooting 12-of-30 from the field.

Despite the win, Cleveland’s head coach Tyronn Lue was critical of his team, stating that his team stole the win since they didn’t play good basketball on the court on the night.

Lue said to Cleveland.com: "Considering the circumstances, we definitely stole one. I don't think we played our best game. I think they know that as well. We didn't play extremely well but to come in and beat a good team like Toronto on their home floor, like you said, it does feel like we stole one."

Raptors head coach Dwane Casey essentially agreed with the Cavaliers coach, believing that his team was the better side of the two on the court on the night, and that one of the reasons why they didn’t come out on top was due to the fact that they missed so many shots down the stretch.

He said: “A lot of things we did to ourselves. It’s nothing special, nothing that we didn’t expect. Some uncharacteristic things that we missed, some shots we missed, I thought was the difference in the game.

"I think we’re a better team, we just didn’t make the shots down the stretch. I know it sounds simplistic but we had our open looks, had our opportunities that we didn’t cash in on.

“I don’t know if it was nerves or yips or what, just things that just shot ourselves in the foot.”

Toronto will look to bounce back from the loss when Game 2 between the Cavs and Raptors takes place at the Air Canada Center on Thursday night. Cleveland is currently 1-0 up in the series.
