The Utah Jazz picked up a vital win in their second-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets last night away from home to tie the series at 1-1 after two games thanks to the work on the court by their star men, Donovan Mitchell and Joe Ingles.

Jazz 116-108 Rockets - Game 2 - Series tied 1-1

The Jazz won 116-108 against the Rockets on Wednesday night at the Toyota Center in Houston thanks to the performances on the court by Mitchell and Ingles, who scored a career-high 27 points, while the rookie added 17 points to their tally.

It was the first time he had finished with less than 20 points in a playoff game, but that was mainly because he was more of a provider on the court, as he finished with 11 assists.

Utah built a 19-point lead in the second quarter before Houston rallied and led early in the fourth quarter. This was when the Jazz sailed back into the game thanks to the work of Mitchell.

Mitchell missed a jumper and sailed above three Rockets players to grab the rebound and finish with an impressive one-handed slam, causing his bench and his teammates to go wild in celebration.

The rookie said after the game to ESPN: "I just happened to be up there. So I said: `Why come down with it?"

His highlight-reel play was certainly the emotional boost the Jazz needed in order to win the game, and now their second-round series is tied 1-1 entering Game 3 which takes place this coming Friday at the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah.
